Viva Laldjérie plot
Algiers, winter 2003. Since the beginning of the terrorist attacks, the mother, daughter and prostitute have lived in a hotel in the center of the city. Daughter Goucem leads an emancipated life that she divides between her work as a photographer, her generous and married lover and the daring weekends she spends in discotheques. Her loyal friend Fifi prostitutes herself under the tutelage of a powerful and 'nice' protector. Goucem's mother Papicha eats pizza in front of her television screen, torn between fear about the present and nostalgia for the period when she was a famous dancer in the cabarets of Algiers. And even though these three women are stubbornly pursued by death, they do everything they can to deny him any victory...
