Victory Day plot
Sam Cassels, a short-tempered journalist, has just been ostracized by Russia, the country he loves, for pushing the finance minister during a press conference. In Prague, Cassels soon finds out that his problems have only just begun. He discovers that the Russian magnate Igralski, whom Cassels believes is guilty of the wars and economic decline of his country, is nearby. Unmasking the magnate, who is still untouched and unscathed, becomes a life-threatening fixation.
