Vespa plot

12-year-old Lali lives in the countryside with his caring mother Mari who has recently started dating again after Lali's father left them. Mari knows that Lali secretly smokes and plays card games, but she sees nothing wrong with it and lets him have his way with peers. During a card game, Lali wins a chocolate bar whose paper contains a voucher stating that he has won a prize: a bright red scooter that he has to pick up himself in Budapest. Naive Lali decides he's big enough to pick him up himself and expects him to be back before his mother finds out.
