Venti Sigarette plot
November 2003: Aureliano, a 28-year-old anarchist and anti-war activist with no job or love life, is offered to fly immediately to Iraq to work as an assistant director on a film about the Italian military "peace mission". Despite criticism from his friends and best friend Claudia, and the concerns of his family, Aureliano leaves anyway. And so he ends up in a military world that he disapproves of and about which he is prejudiced. But he discovers a great sense of humanity and brotherhood in the people he meets, values he knows how to value. He follows director Stefano Rolla and before Aureliano even has the time to smoke his pack of cigarettes, he finds himself in the middle of the suicide attack that was committed on November 12, 2003 in Nasiriyah on the army headquarters.
