Une Femme Française plot
Jeanne and Louis get married just before World War II breaks out. Louis, a soldier, is sent to the front, captured and ends up in a POW camp. While waiting for his return, Jeanne has numerous affairs with Louis' friends from the army. Jeanne even gets pregnant and has twins. After the war, Louis wants to forget and forgive everything and therefore moves with Jeanne and the children to Berlin. There, Jeanne falls for Matthias, a German industrialist. When Louis has to go to Vietnam to fight, Matthias follows Jeanne to France.
