Underground Fragrance plot

Yong Le is a young migrant from the south who refurbishes and resells furniture. He lives in Beijing's Underground City, a labyrinthine former bomb shelter that serves as cheap housing for those seeking opportunities in the big city. When he is temporarily blinded by an industrial accident, he has to find his way through the dimly lit cellars by means of a rope. Then one day he meets a girl at the other end of the rope. Xiao Yun is also a migrant and desperate for work so she can quit pole dancing.
