Denny is a non-binary musician who travels from bar to bar earning meager tips while waiting for a big break. After a hard day's work, corporate attorney Ryan has a drink with his colleagues. There, Denny and Ryan's worlds collide when they fall for each other. Their love for each other is put to the test when Denny begins to explore the gender roles that have been kept hidden for years. Ryan is also concerned that his life and career may not be able to support a gender neutral partner.
