Valeria, the young secretary of a producer, lives with an eccentric mother and secretly writes for a successful screenwriter, Alessandro. One day she receives an unusual gift from a stranger: it is the plot of a movie. But this plot is dangerous. The untitled story tells of the mysterious but real theft of Caravaggio's famous painting La Natività.
