Un Week-end sur Deux plot

Camille Valmont relentlessly aims to destroy her own life through her constant fixation on her own needs only. She lost her husband and her two children as a result. The court grants her visiting rights once every two weeks. Even then, she is so absorbed in her career that she neglects the children. Then her career comes to a slump, she is short of money and she has to take a job. On a visiting weekend, she happens to work as a hostess at the Rotary club. She takes the children to work, something that is forbidden by the court. Her ex-husband finds out about this and wants the kids back. She panics, steals a rental car and runs off with the children, who feel nothing for her, in a desperately misguided attempt to get closer to them.
