Two Kinds of Love plot

When Robbie breaks his arm while playing basketball, he sees a bleak future. However, through the loving relationship he has with his mother, he learns to see the positive sides of life. When his mother turns out to be seriously ill and eventually dies, Robbie stays behind with his distant father, with whom he has a less good relationship. Robbie and his father must now learn to deal with their loss, their feelings and each other.
