Twilight plot

A baby tied to a donkey in the North Carolina mountains where her father drowned is named Twilight and raised by the Anwells. At sixteen, Twilight falls in love with her foster brother Jim, who runs the family lumber business. She becomes jealous when Elise Charmant, on vacation with her father, monopolizes brain specialist Jim at the Firemen's Ball. After Twilight rings the fire alarm to stop the flirtation, she learns that Jim loves her.
