A patient at an institution for the mentally ill thinks he is the murderer of Tsar Alexander in 1881 and Tsar Nicolas II in 1918. The doctor who treats him also soon begins to lose his grip on reality and they are forced to night in 1918 to discover what really happened.

It's amazing that no comments have been posted here yet. Such a good film. Now I'm not really into an M. Night Shyamalan-like plot. But the psychotherapy here lifts the historical story to another dimension. Malcolm McDowell is also a great actor and Oleg Yankovsky was. You can leave a beautiful decor to director Karen Shakhnazarov. The Ipatiev House, where the tsar family was executed, has even been completely rebuilt, including the wooden fence.
