Trotz Alledem! plot
Story about the last stormy months of Karl Liebknecht, from October 1918 to January 1919. After spending more than 900 days in prison for organizing an anti-war demonstration, Karl Liebknecht gets mercy and is released from Luckau prison. At last he can return to Berlin, where the workers have prepared a triumphant reception. Liebknecht immediately resumes his political work and opposes the war policy of the Empire. On November 9, Liebknecht proclaims the German Republic from the balcony of the Berlin Palace. A brief hope blossoms, but soon the hunt for these politically unpopulars begins. But people's opinions are divided...
