Tri Brata plot

Three brothers live in a small village somewhere in Kazakhstan. Nearby is the small station, where an old man (nickname: Klein) holds sway. Klein spends most of his time at the station. The children curiously inquire about the purpose of his activities, as nothing seems to be happening. He tells them that he is supplying equipment to a military base nearby. Klein begins to tell them other stories, for example about the beautiful lake where the officers spend their free time and where life is as beautiful as the women. The image he paints of this lake is so enticing to the three brothers and their friends that they are determined to go there. They know from the old man that it will cost money, because life is expensive there.
