Train to Alcatraz plot

A group of inmates are transported by train to Alcatraz Prison. The cold-blooded killer Doug Forbes is the leader of this group, which is guarded by Grady. Forbes plans to escape with the group along the way. Tommy Calligan, one of the inmates, is innocent. Tommy falls in love with the attractive train passenger Beatrice. He wants to prove his innocence with her help and not participate in the breakout attempt.
