When Liz was nine years old, she lost her mother when a tornado destroyed their home. Now, 25 years later, Liz is a meteorologist, specializing in detecting tornadoes. She and her husband Matt, with whom she is divorced, have designed a system to detect early tornadoes. In this way she hopes to spare others the suffering that marked her at a young age. When their Phased Array Radar System is turned on, Liz gets the shock of her life: a giant tornado is approaching... and it's headed straight for Liz's house, where her daughter and sister are staying. Are Liz and Matt in time to save them?
