Torajikkot plot

Chin Song-nim, nicknamed 'Bellflower', is engaged to Pak Won-bong. He despises peasant village life and would like to move to the city with Song-nim. However, she feels responsible for her village and stays behind. With Pak Won-bong gone, Chin Song-nim and her sister will turn the poor village into a prosperous farming community. One day, Chin Song-nim dies while trying to save a sheep in a heavy storm. After 27 years, Pak Won-bong and his son Se-ryong return to the village where the sister still lives with the painful memory of Chin Song-nim's death. Se-ryong is ignored by the residents. When he hears of his father's deed, he asks for forgiveness and becomes a respected comrade. His father Pak Won-bong, on the other hand, remains an outcast.
