West Berlin 1980. The Wall is still completely intact and the Cold War is slowly entering its final stage. 19-year-old Robert has had enough of provincial life and of the hippies in his boarding school and runs away. But where to? To Berlin, which to him looks like an island of bliss, with the scene, subculture, art, sex, punk rock and many other weird birds. But once there, he first has to work as a cleaner on Schwarz's peep show if he wants to earn money to get into Berlin's fierce nightlife.
