To Love a Maori plot

Tama and Riki, two young Maori men move from a small community on New Zealand's east coast to Auckland. Tama starts working as an apprentice mechanic in a garage. He gets into a relationship with the white Penny, who soon becomes pregnant. The couple faces discrimination, including from Penny's parents. Her father does not want a Maori son-in-law.
