Tirana, Année Zéro plot

Twenty-three-year-old honest and serious Niku tries to earn his living in his native Albania with an old rickety truck. The car is the most important family possession of the family. Niku is one of the few people who does not dream of emigrating. He just wants to help build his country. However, it doesn't suit him. His girlfriend Klara dreams of becoming a model in Paris and abandons him. After the umpteenth shooting in the city, she has had enough and leaves for France. In addition, Niku's father is dying and to make matters worse, the transport of a gigantic statue of Stalin in front of the old truck has a fatal outcome.
