Till Love Do Us Part plot

Shu is a 30-year-old Chinese urban planning teacher who is about to marry her fiancé, a successful banker. It is a marriage for practical reasons, not unusual in a country where financial security within marriage is valued more highly than love. But during a working visit to Prague she falls head over heels in love with theater director Fan, who confuses the timid Shu with his energy and impulsiveness. Then comes the time to return to China and the question arises to what extent the affair affects the path traditionally mapped out for Shu.
