Thou Art the Man plot

Suspicious that his employers are diamond smugglers, Private Myles Calthrope quits his job in the African mines and heads south, where he meets Joan Farrant and falls in love. Unaware that her brother Henry is involved in the diamond smuggling trade, Joan arranges for Myles to take up a position in the family business. Myles is given an envelope with legal documents to deliver, but when he is searched on board, diamonds are found in the pouch, and Myles is imprisoned.
