Thomas der Hochspringer plot

Thomas is all about sports. At a sports camp, the high jumper sticks to an uncompromising training and nutrition schedule. An unhealthy situation, it soon turns out - and that is an understatement. It is clear from the outset that something is seriously wrong in this boy's life. Not only because he regularly withdraws to hurt himself or to practice in front of the mirror on a voicemail message for his absent father, but also because his mother Margot's military control is so stifling.
