"Get Out! My wife is what she is... because of what you are!"
Vida Dove is an aspiring writer whose vivid imagination contrasts with the harsh realities of her middle-class family. Vida's sister Evelyn is married to the crippled and embittered Murray Myer and unable to escape this life the way Vida can, though they certainly want to. When Vida introduces her beloved Glenn Harris to Evelyn, Evelyn plans to keep beautiful Glenn away from her sister by seducing him. The ensuing developments degenerated into deception, grief and even murder.
