There's Something about a Soldier plot
"Disgraced! Degraded! Dishonored!... yet he faced his girl and his country Unashamed!"
Wally Williams and Frank Malloy, classmates at Camp Davis officer training, are extreme opposites. Wally is an ex-sports reporter who chats his way through life in a simple way. Malloy was able to distinguish himself at the front so that he was allowed to follow officer training. At school, they both fall for secretary Carol Harkness. The rivalry soon causes a deep rift between the two men, but they know the conflict could be grounds for instant dismissal. The men try to avoid each other, but that is not easy in practice.
