The World of Suzie Wong plot

"You are the first man I ever loved... and the world has only just begun..."

Architect (Holden) takes a year off in Hong Kong to find out if he can succeed as a painter. On the ferry he meets the young, beautiful Chinese (Kwan), who claims to belong to the jet set of the British colony. But in the evening he sees her again as an animation girl in a hotel. After the first shock, an idyll develops between the two.
