The Woodlanders plot

"A Timeless Tale of Passion and Desire."

Southern England, late 19th century. Merchant Melbury's daughter, Grace, returns to town after graduating from college. Her father is convinced she can now find a husband "better" than her childhood friend, the woodcutter Giles. She marries Dr. FitzPiers, but soon realizes that he is not the man of her dreams and that she still loves Giles. Based on Thomas Hardy's novel of the same name.
