"Who is She? What Did She Do? Why Was She Trailed?"
Sylvia Martin has a hard life. Thrown out of an unhappy home, she becomes the wife of a handsome and virile crook. Before the marriage can be consummated, however, he commits suicide to avoid arrest. Sylvia is tried for murder and acquitted, but her name appears in a police file that falls into the hands of Hugo Declasse, a shrewd Bolshevik agent. He pursues the woman, but she is also forced to submit to the plans of a secret service officer. Through her cleverness, she obtains documents kept in Declasse's offices.
