Wallis (Jane Seymour) is happy with her second husband. Until the day she meets the Prince of Wales (Anthony Andrews), the future King of England. They fall in love. George V dies and the prince becomes King Edward VIII. Wallis is taking the necessary steps for a divorce, but the British don't want a divorced American woman as queen.
