The White Line plot
In 1959, Old Location – an area “reserved” for black residents of Windhoek, the capital of Namibia – was the subject of an uprising that shook Southwest Africa to its foundations. In 1963, shortly after the uprising, a black girl encounters an African police officer during a weekday identity check. Their forbidden love for each other grows stronger through the letters they write to each other.
