The Wheel of the Law plot

Young lawyer John Norton is in love with Broadway star Mona Mainard. Mona's younger brother Tommy has been serving a sentence in Sing Sing prison. When he is released, he immediately goes to his sister and tells her that he is leaving to start a new life. She urges him to stay, but he refuses, and she gives him money for his train ticket. He knows of her love for Norton, who has now become an assistant district attorney, in recognition of his ability, and does not want to stand in her way.
