The Thirteenth Chair plot
"The Screen Does New Thrills"
A man is killed during a seance by the mystic Rosalie La Grange. The murder takes place at the home of a British-Indian governor. The victim was a blackmailer and everyone present had a good reason to get him out of the way. However, it becomes even more difficult for Rosalie when her own daughter is seen as a suspect. Not satisfied with the way Inspector Marney is investigating the case, Rosalie takes matters into her own hands.
