The Talker plot

Kate is bored during her civil life with her husband Harry Lennox. Kate's neighbors, the sneaky Henry Fells and his wife Maud, have a number of boarders. These include Harry's stenographer Barbara Farley and Lonnie Whinston, who is in love with Harry's younger sister Ruth Lennox. Kate thinks that women should have more independence and less duties and starts flirting with car salesman Ned Hollister. However, Ruth takes everything she cares about from Kate and runs off with Ned. Kate's flirtation with Ned causes a big rift between her and husband Harry.
