The Strange Case of Clara Deane plot
""I killed to save my daughter's happiness - yet my only crime was love!""
Young clothing designer Clara marries insurance agent Frank Deane. Soon they have a daughter. Clara doesn't know that Frank is actually a criminal. He soon involves her, without her noticing, in a robbery. After Clara is sentenced to prison, she gives up her baby (Nancy) for adoption. When Clara is released after 15 years, she goes in search of her long-lost daughter Nancy. Police Inspector Garrison becomes involved in Clara's search, but self-servingly tries to stop her from finding Nancy.
