The Stories plot

During President Nasser's reign, Cairo was a place of idiosyncratic chaos, suspicion, and distrust, full of sharp wit and unattainable dreams. The post office only delivers letters for recruitment and scholarships. Surprisingly, Elizabeth, from the capital of classical music, sends a letter to Ahmed, a headstrong pianist. His family loves football. No one wants a pianist or a writer in the family.
