The Son and the Sea plot
Jonah lives an extended adolescence filled with parties and bad decisions, and begins to feel increasingly lost. Secretly longing for a break from London's hectic energy and his partying habits, he convinces his best friend, Lee, to join him on a trip to the Scottish coast to visit his great-aunt, whose memory is failing. During their stay in her small cottage on the rugged coastline, the two meet Charlie, a deaf man struggling with the consequences of his twin brother's misdeeds. The three learn that connection transcends words, and that despite loss, joy can still be found.
