"It's the most powerful human story since Talkies began!"

German-American hairdresser Adolf Wagenkampf is about to invest his savings in real estate and a savings and loan business. But instead, he sends one of his beloved children, who is in poor health, to a sanitarium. Adolf's friend Joe Higginson develops into a powerful man within the growing community, while Adolf is still a hairdresser.
