The Silver Darlings plot

A story about the loves and adventures of the fishing people of the Hebrides. When the Napoleonic War rages on, the Scottish Highlanders are forced by unscrupulous landlords to leave their ancestral lands and are driven out to sea. Caught on the bleak and barren North East coast of Scotland, they find something of value there...the rich schools of herring, which they call "Silver Darlings".
