The Side Show of Life plot

Andrew Lackaday, an English circus clown raised in France, rises to the rank of brigadier general during the war. Returning to his old profession as a juggler, he finds that he has lost his skills. He gives up Elodie, his former vaudeville partner, but finds new happiness with Lady Auriol.
