The Search for Bridey Murphy plot
A doctor, after seeing what hypnosis is capable of, embarks on an extensive study on the subject. When he experiments on a friend's wife, she goes back to a past life - Bridey Murphy. With several hypnosis sessions he manages to reconstruct Bridey Murphy's life until her death; Murphy was a 19th century Irish woman who lived in Cork and Belfast between 1798 and 1864. The doctor then investigates to determine whether this Bridey Murphy really existed.
