The Savage plot

Marie Louise returns from school and catches the eye of Julio Sandoval, an emotional half-breed. She is engaged to Captain McKeever of the mounted police, but Sandoval wants her for himself. When the half-breed finds her alone in the woods, he carries her to his cabin, but he falls ill. Marie nurses him and protects him when a rescue party arrives for her. Back in town, Marie discovers that McKeever has been captured by outlaw Joe Bedotte.
