The Runaway plot
"Driven by fear of detection she fled from the city to the Kentucky hills."
Ambitious young actress Cynthia Meade wants to make a career with the help of Jack Harrison. However, she flees the Tennessee filming location when Jack is shot because a gun went off accidentally. Cynthia is convinced she can't prove her innocence. Kentucky mountaineer Wade Murrell finds Cynthia lying by the roadside and agrees to take her from Tennessee to Kentucky. Cynthia accepts Wade's protection and he takes her to his house.
