The Ruling Passion plot

Tony Valero, a lusty young cowboy, is charmed by Clarita Montes, whose father is relatively well-off. Clarita prefers Tony to her numerous admirers, but his father has chosen for his future son-in-law a young dandy named Jose Rodreguis, whose wealth allows him to live more comfortably than his neighbors. Jose capitalizes on this and focuses his attention on Clarita. He bitterly resents her preference for Tony and does everything in his power to belittle his rival.
