The spoiled American beauty lady Edwina Esketh is a terribly rich lady who cheats on her weak but attractive husband with numerous other gentlemen. During the dry season, Maharani, an old lady of great importance, invites the couple to Ranchipur for a sumptuous dinner. One of the guests is Doctor Safti, a young doctor raised by Maharani after the death of his parents. Edwina sees in him her next victim. But then comes the monsoon rains which can be very heavy in India.
