Charlie and Hugo live in a country town and have been best friends since childhood. Important detail: Hugo is Charlie's imagined boyfriend, who is now in his twenties. When Charlie develops feelings for film producer Guy, Hugo realizes he is in love with his childhood friend. He tries to win her heart, a battle he can hardly win. As a result, he tries to reach Charlie through reality and manages to channel his energy and move objects. However, his advances push Charlie away from him.
