The Pavilion plot

"The war is over. The battle has just begun."

Frank and Northmour both compete for the favors of Clara, a budding young woman and the apple of her father's eye. When Northmour appears to be winning their battle for her hand through her father's influence, Frank is thrown into a blind rage. He leaves nothing untapped to prevent the newfound couple from becoming happy. Living in fear and tension brings them close to despair.
