The Pagan Lady plot

Barmaid Dorothy "Dot" Hunter is a worldly woman and everyone's sexual toy on a remote tropical island. Dingo Mike, who is on a business trip, is in love with her. When the relatively innocent and young Ernest Todd, cousin of evangelist Malcolm 'Mal' Todd, proposes to her, Dot is tempted to accept it. But then Dot realizes she's not good enough for Ernest and does her best to disillusion him.
