The Pace That Thrills plot
"Speeding Right at your Heart!"
The revue singer Paula marries someone from an aristocratic family. Unfortunately, her husband turns out to be a drunk. When he tries to give their son some booze, Paula threatens her husband with scissors, but during a struggle he manages to dodge the scissors, then falls down the stairs and fatally stabs herself. Due to false statements from the housekeeper and the butler, Paula is convicted of murder and sent to jail. Her son Danny Wade grows up to be a movie star, but he refuses to do his own stunts. Danny wants to use all his money to get his mother out. However, for a good cause, Danny wants to participate in a car race, but then his mother's hearing is scheduled for the day of the race...
