The Other Side of the Wind plot
"40 years in the making."
A sixty-nine-year-old film director, Jake Hannaford, desperately tries to revive his career. He has little success in this. But then, on his seventieth birthday, disaster strikes him. He dies in a car accident. Hannaford was just working on a film project, with the lead actor leaving the production. After Hannaford's death, people try to finish his film.
