The Open plot

"When Federer turns into Mad Max... as Beckett meets Tank Girl"

Stéphanie Tavernier, fourth in the WTA ranking, trains like mad for Roland Garros, assisted by her coach André. The latter does not leave her side for a moment. He sleeps next to his champion, feeding her a scant but nutritious diet and also keeps an eye on her sparring partner Ralph, who puts her to the test with smashes, volleys and serves. However, the trio must prepare under special circumstances. World War 3 has broken out and Stéphanie and André have become refugees and travel through mountain and valley to prepare for The Open, even though they lack nets and balls and Ralph is actually their prisoner of war.
